TVR Wedge Lightweight Breathable Car Covers
Following several years of development, the TVR Wedge was released in 1988. Production only ran for one year, with the final model driving off the production line in 1989, with only 17 ever built. The TVR Wedge was also known as the 450 SEAC, and was built using many components developed for the 420 SEAC. This car was built using Kevlar and fibreglass for the body, meaning that costs were high. The TVR Wedge used these parts, therefore giving the car a high price tag. The main difference between the two cars from TVR was the engine. The 450 SEAC, the Wedge, was powered by a Rover V8 with a 4.5 litre capacity. This engine produced an impressive 325 brake horse power giving exceptional speed and performance. The acceleration of the TVR Wedge was 0-60 mph in only 4/5 seconds, with a top speed of approximately 175 miles per hour.
