TVR Tuscan Waterproof Half Covers

TVR TuscanThe Tuscan has been a popular car from TVR, with two periods of release. The firsts was from 1967-1971, where 174 of the two editions of the TVR Tuscan were produced. In 1999 TVR released the Tuscan and this is still in production today. The first Tuscan to be released by TVR was powered by a Ford V8 engine, similar to the one used in the Ford Mustang at the time. With a capacity of 4.7 litre the engine provided 271 brake horse power and a superb top speed of 155 miles per hour. This version of the Tuscan continued in production until 1970. A V6 version of the TVR Tuscan was released with a 3.0 litre Ford Essex V6, similar to the one in the Ford Capri and the Ford Zodiac. With a top speed of 125 miles per hour and 136 bhp the car performed very well.

In 1999 TVR rereleased the Tuscan, completely redesigning it to give a stunning, modern yet elegant design. This car was available with several different engines, four with a 4.0 litre TVR Speed Six engine, and one with a 3.6 litre version. This engine produced ranges of power between 350 bhp and an impressive 400bhp. By maintaining such a low weight of 1100kg, the Tuscan had fantastic performance and was very popular.

Since 1999, TVR have made several adjustments to the car, mostly for aesthetic reasons. Items such as the lights, dashboard and spoilers have seen several redesigns, especially in the post 2003 versions (known as the Mark 2). Chassis improvements were also included to both improve handling and to add roof options. Traditionally, the Tuscan was available with only a Targa roof, but following these modifications a full soft top option was now available.
