Porsche Cayenne Lightweight Breathable Car Cover Unlike most of the cars to be produced previously by Porsche the Cayenne is designed with space and size in mind. With the ability to seat up to five adults comfortably the Cayenne is less of a sports car and more of a SUV that is packed full of the luxuries that you would expect in any other luxury Porsche sports car. There are several variants in the Cayenne family, starting with the Porsche Cayenne S which is powered by an 8-cylinderengine offering a top speed of 155mph. The GTS exceeds this with a 4.8 litres V8 with an acceleration of 0-60 in less than 6 seconds. Many Porsche technologies can be found in the Cayenne, including the six speed Tiptronic automatic gear box. Available since 2006, Porsche has kept production costs down by utilising components produced by Volkswagen for their Touareg SUV. The standard car comes equipt with a very capable 2.6 litre VR6 with 290 brake horse power that performs excellently in this mid-size vehicle. A hybrid Porsche Cayenne has also been developed to be released in the near future. With an electric vacuum pump and hydraulic steering pump the car is able to operate totally independently of the engine; a remarkable innovation. By storing power in a 288 volt nickel metal hydride battery the Cayenne will be able to offer much more performance than standard electric cars.
