Porsche Carerra Heavy duty Waterproof Car Cover
Carerra is a term well known and loved by Porsche fans and car enthusiasts the world over; it has been used on a large number of their vehicles as a tribute to the success that the company enjoyed at the Carerra Pananericana race. Almost without fail the Carerra name has been used for every model of Porsche that has been developed to this day including more outlandish models such as the 356, 904 and 924. The legendary Porsche 911 has also been gifted the Carerra name at various stages throughout its evolution, and the name is often used to refer to what is seen as the base or entry model for every different model produced by the company.
 The GT is the only Porsche that does not belong to another model of Porsche such as the 911 or 924. The Carerra GT is packed with the most modern technologies making it as much an exercise in high tech car crafting as in aesthetics and styling. A carbon fibre monocoque mates the chassis and body and carbon fibre-reinforced Silicon Carbide ceramic composite brakes ensuring that when you want to stop you will certainly stop, and the brakes will never fade. Porsche have also fitted automatic rear spoilers to the Carerra GT, another modern advancement and one of over 75 technological patent requests being filed during the production of the Porsche Carerra GT.
Initially the Porsche Carerra GT was supposed to house a turbocharged flat six engine but changes in FIA regulations forced the company to choose a 5.7 litre V10 instead. This powerhouse of an engine boasted 612 bhp with a maximum official speed of 205 mph possible. The Carerra GT also came with a traditional manual 6 speed gearbox instead of the commonly criticised padde shift system found on other comparable vehicles.
