Porsche 968 Heavy duty Waterproof Car Cover
The Porsche 968 was released as both a convertible and a coupe and was also the final front engined car to be sold by Porsche until they introduced the Cayenne in 2003, making it the last front engined sports car created by the company to this day. The 968 stands as an obvious evolutions of the earlier 944 design, and the 944 is a development of the 924. The company chose to use many components from the more expensive and luxurious 928 when they developed the 968 in a move that it was hoped would create a sense of commonality amongst the Porsche brand.
 The 968 was marketed and sold from 1992 through to 1995 as the latest in the lower priced entry level Porsches. 20% of the parts that go to make up the Porsche 968 were shared with the 944 that it replaced and it can be viewed as the final phase in a design that had been gradually evolving since the 924 was created over 20 years previously. The parts that were shared between the 968 and its earlier sibling include the brake calipers from Brembo, the trailing arms and front A-arms and various parts of the cars structure.
Various other bits and pieces were also taken from the Porsche 911 and integrated into the 968 design, such as the tail lamps, radio antenna, alloys on the wheels, interior colour stylings, and even the windows. This new commonality of parts enabled the Porsche 968 to be heavily "moddable" with many purchasing it and then adding aftermarket parts designed for other Porsches from the 924 to the 911. This made the 968 very popular with those not afraid to work on their own vehicles or those with a love of tinkering, something that this particular model of Porsche is popular for to this day.
