Mazda RX-8 Lightweight Breathable Car Covers
The Mazda RX-8 is one of the most successful and iconic vehicles produced by Mazda alongside the popular MX-5. It is a direct replacement for the RX-7 and is fully rotary powered and serves as a showcase for the durability and reliability of the Wankel rotary powerplant. In 2004 due to customer demand the Mazda RX-8 was launched in America and it continues to be supported worldwide to this day. It represents the latest in a solid and established lineage of rotary powered RX cars that have been offered for sale on a global market, and it has allowed Mazda to produce a stunning design that features a full four seats and solid sports handling and performance at an affordable price.
The Mazda RX-8 has been met with many excellent reviews and any criticism has been built upon in later revisions of the vehicle with many faults being fixed. The car itself was almost six years in development and nearly never actually saw the light of day. It is based on the RX-01 concept car developed by Mazda engineers, however at the time it was felt that there was no room on the market for such a vehicle so it was permanently kept in progress and development only continued at a slow pace. It took many years of persuasion but eventually a concensus was reached and the result of this is the RX-8 that we all know and love, and aside from some minor changes it is identical to the RX-01 concept vehicle.
One of the most unique features of the Mazda RX-8 is that it can comfortably sit four adults (and allows entry through a unique half rear door system) making it a true four seat vehicle, not simply a 2+2 or car with "occassional" rear seats. Although it is by no means a large vehicle the RX-8 has been designed with the rear space in mind and Mazda spent some time maximising available space in order to make it a four seater. The weight distribution of the car is almost 50:50 thanks to the front-mid mounting behind the front axle and Mazda also spend some time trimming the car out to make handling as good as it can be. Although it does not compete with the RX-7 for sheer performance the RX-8 makes up for those shortcomings in style and luxury.
