Mazda Familia Lightweight Breathable Car Covers
The Mazda Familia has been utilised as a badge, logo or name for a number of different vehicles that have been released by Mazda over the years. The vast majority of Familia type cars have been small compacts or family oriented vehicles, however there have been some exceptions to this and the popularity of the Mazda Familia brand as a whole has meant that there has been one in production from 1964 to 2003 across various different types of car. On the export market the Familia was sold by Mazda as the 323, GLC, Etude, Protege, and it served as the basis for the Ford Laser and Ford Meteor. The Mazda Familia is also one of the companies most prolific cars; it has been produced across the four corners of the globe from Taiwan
and Malaysia through to New Zealand and South Africa.
The first Mazda Familia was launched in 1963 and proved to be a successful vehicle for the company. Shortly after an engine upgrade followed boosting power by over 200 cc and allowing for greater acceleration and more performance. The next version of the Mazda Familia was the 1000 that was introduced to the public in 1967. Initially it offered no real improvements over existing designs but the 1200 that followed shortly after soon remedied the situation thanks to a bigger engine. This was quickly eclipsed by the more luxurious 1300 Familia from Mazda that was itself soon replaced by the 1973 Preso Familia that once again featured an uprated engine for more performance. The GLC (great little car) Mazda Familia was launched in 1977 and held the accolade of being the smallest rear wheel drive compact in existence for quite some time. The most up to date and recent version of the Mazda Familia was released in 1999 and featured a variety of aesthetic tyles to choose from
including a five door station wagon and a sedan along with a 3 door
hatchback and more traditional five door version. The modern Mazda Familia series of vehicles were very popular so Mazda once again updated them in 2001. This new revision of the Familia featured a new more modern look along with better suspension and a number of new technologies. The newer version also
featured upgraded suspension and brand new technologies incorporated
into the audio system.
