 The Bentley Turbo R is one of the most adored vehicles produced by the Bentley car company, the Turbo R is actually seen by many experts and industry insiders as the car that changed the fortunes of the company and helped reinvent Bentley as a modern, dynamic and exciting brand. It also helped Bentley usher in a new era of car creation by utilising some of the most modern innovations and design techniques in their manufacturing. The Bentley Turbo R took the chassis design from the Mulsanne and borrowed its engine as well in an effort to produce a stunning vehicle.
The engine was tweaked and refined by Bentley; the addition of a Bosch MK-Motronic
fuel injection system added lots of torque and extra power to make the Turbo R a surprisingly sporty vehicle. The wide tires and alloys seperate the Bentley Turbo R from anything that has come before from the company, and highlighting the vehicles nature as a true pioneer in automotive engineering. magazine described the Turbo R as "the first Bentley in decades
deserving of the famous name."
The performance of the Bentley Turbo R was very sporty for such a large vehicle, Bentley made a large number of changes that would not have been previously considered on such a vehicle, a Panhard rod allowed the vehicle to corner far better as sway was greatly reduced, and tuned dampers took the performance even further into the realms of the sports car. It is understood that the power output stands at almost 300 bhp and the vehicle occupied the position in the Bentley line-up between the Mulsanne S and the Silver Spu.
