The Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow is the vehicle that the Bentley T-Series draws its inspiration from. In fact it does far more than just glean inspiration from this popular design, it is a re-badged and modified version of it. The Bentley T-Series features stunning custom coachwork from James Young and Mulliner Park Ward making it one of the most luxurious vehicles available. Initially when it was first launched Bentley offered a four and a two door version of the T-Series for sale, however in 1967 they expanded their line-up to include a brand new convertible version. The cconvertible version of the T-Series featured a unique custom designed powered hood.

BentleyTSeries1.jpgThe easiest way to tell apart the Bentley T-Series and the Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow is by glancing at the front grille, they differ between the two designs and the differences are plain to see. Incidentally the Bentley T-Series was offered for sale £50 cheaper than the matching Silver Shadow. The Bentley T-Series was purchased by those who wished for a slightly more understated, less baroque vehicle. Indeed, some people have commented in the past that they actually prefer the design of the Bentley over the matching Rolls Royce, making the T-Series a true world class one of a kind car to own.

Electric windows and powered seats were offered as standard on the first version of the Bentley T1, and air conditioning was introduced as a standard fixture on the T2 version. Between the two different versions the T-Series was offered for sale between the years 1965 and 1980 and it has entered the annals of motoring history thanks to its luxurious design.
Top Gear presenter James May used to own a T-Series Bentley, he donated it in 2007 but it did feature in one episode of the series. The vehicle has also made a number of appearences in television serials and films, helping to cement the companies identity and transform the brands image.
