Bentley T-Series Lightweight Breathable Car Cover
The Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow proved to be the perfect base for Bentley to base their new T-Series on. James Young and Mulliner Park Ward developed the coachwork for the Bentley T-Series and helped elevate it to the height of a luxury car full of the most prestigious refinements. Initially the Bentley T-Series was offered for sale as a four and also a two door saloon, however in 1967 the company offered a unique convertible version for people to purchase and enjoy. The custom designed hood set the vehicle apart from its peers, never before had something so luxurious been fitted to a production vehicle.
It is easy to spot the Bentley T-Series and the Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow apart due to the distinctive grille they both possess, also when their prices are compared the T-Series Bentley proved to be £50 cheaper than the offering from Rolls-Royce. Those who opted for the Bentley T-Series over the Rolls Royce were often searching for something more understated and subtle and some believe the subtle design changes between the two vehicles actually makes the Bentley T-Series more attractive, although obviously that is a matter of personal taste! The lower bonnet and the different radiator certainly set the two vehicles apart.
The Bentley T-Series as with all Bentley's came with a tremendous amount of fixtures and fittings as standard, there is no denying that the T-Series was one of the most luxurious vehicles on the road at the time it was released. Electric windows, powered front seats, air conditioning, all came as standard on the T-Series. Bentley offered the T1 between 1965 and 1977 and the T2 between 1977 and 1980, and it has proved to be a design that holds a special place in the hearts of many motoring enthusiasts.
