Bentley released their brand new luxurious four seat convertible Azure in 1995 and it has since received many positive reviews and has become an iconic image of the brand. The Bentley Azure is actually based on the Continental (for all intents and purposes it is actually a convertible Continental) and it has proven to be a modern classic, in 2003 it was still selling well so Bentley decided to give the Azure an upgrade. They replaced various components in an effort to ensure that the vehicle was kept as contemporary and up to date as possible, making this large four seat convertible vehicle even more desirable.
 The 6.75 litre V8 engine that powers the Bentley Azure provides ample power and torque even for such a large vehicle thanks to its large 400 bhp output. The four speed automatic transmission makes driving the Bentley Azure as carefree as one might imagine and the combination of a powerful engine and excellent engineering allows it to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in just over 6 seconds. When producing the Azure Bentley knew they would have to out-source the design of the custom convertible top; they chose to utilise the skills of Pininfarina who produced one of the most luxurious and elegant folding tops on the market. This resulted in a very high price tag for the vehicle, a price many would agree is worth every penny.
As with almost all Bentley vehicles there are many things that would normally be optional extras that are fitted as standard on the Azure. There are also a number of options that can be customised upon purchasing to make the car truly bespoke. In 2006 Bentley decided to drop the Continental platform from the Azure design and instead utilise the Arnage platform. This brand new Bentley Azure features a turbocharged V8 that produces an extra 50 bhp and makes the vehicle half a second faster to 60mph. Other things were upgraded such as the sound system and electronics, once again ensuring that a timeless classic was brought completely up to date and made into a car for a whole new generation of motorists.
