Bentley Azure Lightweight Breathable Car Cover

 1995 saw the release of the stunning and luxury four seat convertible known as the Bentley Azure. It was produced at the companies main facility in Crewe and is, for all intents and purposes, a convertible version of the ever popular Continental, but that in no way detracts from the unique nature of the vehicle itself. In 2003 Bentley chose to give the Azure a "face-lift" of sorts by bringing the vehicle kicking and screaming into the 21st century complete with a whole host of new technologies, updated components and new design choices being made available. One of the main selling points of the Bentley Azure is that it will seat four adults in perfect comfort, as a result of this it is far larger than most convertible vehicles.
The Bentley Azure is powered by the standard 6.75 litre V8 connected to a turbocharger resulting in a total output of 400 horsepower and a large amount of torque. The Azure was offered complete with a four speed automatic gearbox from Bentley, and when it was first delivered many were surprised by how speedy and agile the vehicle could be considering how aerodynamically inefficient the design is. It can get to 60 mph in just over 6 seconds despite the fact that it features a heavy custom designed convertible top from Pininfarina (resulting in an exceptionally high price tag).
In 2006 Bentley took further steps to update the Azure, they dropped the Continental platform and decided to base the newer version of the vehicle on the popular Arnage. They also included a brand new turbocharged V8 engine that could produce an extra 50 bhp compared to the standard model, and also offered a 6 speed automatic gearbox. The result of these changes was a quicker vehicle (0-60 mph in 5.6 seconds), however another result of such a heavy vehicle and such a large engine is poor fuel economy (between 9 and 15 US mpg). Despite the drawbacks there is no denying that the Bentley Azure is second to none in its class and is a majestic sight to behold.
