Aston Martin V8 Heavyduty Waterproof Car Covers
The Aston Martin V8 is something of a milestone; it stands between the more classic and elegant designs of past decades and the more modern aggressive stylings of vehicles such as the DB7, DB9 and Vanquish. The Aston Martin V8 is one of the most popular vehicles produced by the company and has had one of the longest production runs of any Aston Martin; the V8 was produced in a wide variety of versions from 1969 right through until 1989.
The Aston Martin V8 was created largely due to customer demand, many long term customers of the company had been asking for a vehicle powered by a larger V8 engine for many years so Aston Martin took it upon themselves to create a custom made large 2 door saloon car to serve as a home for their new V8 engine. Unfortunately the engine took longer to be developed than was planned for and the vehicle was completed sans engine and released as the DBS powered by a straight six engine taken straight out of the DB6. Two years later when the V8 engine was ready Aston Martin mated vehicle and engine together and the rest, as they say, is history. Aston Martin ended production of the straight 6 powered DBS in 1973 and the DBS V8 became known as simply the V8, and it became a mainstay of Aston Martin for almost twenty years.
It is obvious to anyone with a keen eye that the Aston Martin V8 takes a cue for its styling from the Ford Mustang, it is very aggressive in design but still oozes luxury and class like all Aston Martin vehicles do. The V8 engine that is the cause of the vehicles name is a fuel injected 5.3 litre 315 bhp monster, and the vehicle itself went through a number of design changes throughout it's lifetime. Changes were constantly made thanks to changing laws regarding emissions and also the companies desire to always improve on what they had created. The Aston Martin V8 also appears in a James Bond Film, it featured in The Living Daylights and was packed with all of the usual refinements such as lasers, missiles and studded tyres.
