Since 2004 the Aston Martin line-up has been bolstered by the introduction of the DB9, a luxurious grand tourer produced at the companies new facility in Gaydon and designed to replace the new obsolete Aston Martin DB7. Our car covers are an excellent fit for this new vehicle. The DB9 does share some design features and aesthetic similarities with the vehicle that it was intended to replace but features a far larger, more aggressive looking body and appears to be a far more substantial vehicle. As you have come to expect our car covers fit like a glove and provide maximum protection. It has, like the DB7, been termed a modern classic and a design icon and the DB9 has gone from strength to strength since it was first introduced in 2004.
 Aston Martin produced the DB9 using the most modern and innovative technologies and techniques ensuring that it would carry the company forward into the 21st century. Two different versions of the Aston Martin DB9 are produced, a coupe version as standard and a convertible Volante that has proved an exceptional success. Both versions can be protected with our car covers. Both vehicles are powered by a 6.0 litre V12 engine that outputs 470 bhp, and it is this engine that drives the Vanquish model as well. Aston Martin deliberately chose to skip the DB8 name instead leaping forward to the DB9 for two reasons, firstly to emphasise how much of an innovative leap had been taken in terms of vehicle design and also so as to not confuse people into thinking that it was powered by a V8 engine. The Aston Martin DB9 was designed to compete directly with the Ferrari F430 and Poprsche 911 Turbo (both of which we supply car covers for) and the company increased the amount of vehicles they produced to meet these demands.
In 2006 Aston Martin released a sports pack for the DB9 (this does not affect the fitting of our car covers) that could be applied to improve things such as handling, overall it makes the driving experience more sporty and tighter and improves handling and responsiveness in corners. The Volante version of the DB9 is currently hand built and has proved to be an exceptional success for Aston Martin and if the numbers of car covers we sell are anything to go by it is continuing to do so. 2008 saw the introduction of a unique overhaul for the Aston Martin DB9 that would bring the vehicle more in line with the newer DBS flagship car that we also sell car covers for. This involved re-styling the centre console so the two vehicles matched up internally and also installing a new start-up procedure. The DB9 has proved a popular vehicle for racing with Prodrive altering the vehicle into the Aston Martin DBR9 and entering it in many events such as the Sebring 12 Hours challenge in 2005 where it took first place.
