Aston Martin DB 5 Lightweight Breathable Car Covers
 The Aston Martin DB5 is one of the most famous vehicles produced by the company, largely due to it appearing in a large number of James Bond films, starting with Goldfinger in 1964. Two Aston Martin type DB5 vehicles were used in the filming of the movie with one being used just for standard driving shots and another being reserved for more dangerous stunts and tricks. A pair of Aston Martin DB5 cars were taken on a publicity tour after the film was released; this proved to be excellent advertising for both the film at the car company. This also marked a long history of Aston Martin working on James Bond films with the DB5 featuring in both Thunderball and Goldeneye, Tomorrow Never Dies and Casino Royale.
The Aston Martin DB5 was first launched in 1964 and represents a more incremental update over the DB4. The upgraded powerplant of the Aston Martin DB5 is a 4.0 litre model and the car also features a brand new five speed gearbox and three new carburettors resulting in a total engine output of 282 bhp and a top speed of 141 mph. One major thing that marked the DB5 apart from the DB4 is that Aston Martin chose to include far more things as standard that were previously optional extras.
Aston Martin developed a Vantage version of the DB5 in 1964, and although just 65 units were produced they are seen as iconic and sell for exceptionally high prices at auction. The convertible DB5 that was launched in 1963 has proved almost as popular with the vehicle seemingly entering the collective conciousness of motoring enthusiasts the world over. There was also a unique an unusual shooting brake version of the Aston Martin DB5 produced only as a custom design for David Brown that was later developed and produced by Harold Radford for those willing to commission one.
