Between 1958 and 1963 the Aston Martin DB4 sat proudly at the top of the companies line-up of luxurious sports vehicles, all of which we can provide car covers for. The Aston Martin DB4 is very different from any vehicles that have come before, once again improved engineering techniques and new technologies allowed for further innovation to took place when the vehicle was being developed.  Under the bonnet the Tadek Marek crafted engine has a large 3.7 litre capacity that produced 240 bhp, however this caused a number of initial problems with overheating. These were dealt with immediately by Aston Martin allowing the DB4 to go on to sell exceptionally well for the company. More new technologies were implemented in the construction of the DB4 such as independent front suspension, rack and pinion steering, new racing drive ratios and disc brakes helping to emphasise how different this new wave of vehicles produced by Aston Martin compared with previous offerings thanks to the implementation of new technology. Aston Martin actually produced five different versions of the DB4 in five short years, one of the most popular was the 1962 convertible model with the optional factory hardtop. This hardtop was rare enough when first released and is even more so now with collectors and fans of the Aston Martin DB4 searching high and low for them. Some versions of the DB4 did not fit in the traditional Aston Martin line-up, the GT Zagato and Lagonda Rapide for instance, both of which we provide car covers for. When The Motor magazine tested the DB4 in 1960 they were able to reach a top speed of 139.3, astonishing when one considers the year in which the Aston Martin DB4 was created. Aston Martin also produced a stripped down, sports GT version that was far lighter and powered by a more powerful engine that could propel the vehicle to 60 mph in 6.1 seconds.
